Certified Acai is quick to claim that you can fight fat and fatigue with one amazing formula.  Of course, they rely on the simple and awesome power of the superfruit known as acai to reeducate you about your future weight management plan.  This being said, they also give you a “lean for life weight loss management plan”, even offering you a “risk free trial.”   They talk about all the media publicity surrounding acai including ABC, supposedly WebMD, Today, and CNN.

Actually, WebMD doesn’t really support natural treatments in general.  In fact they stay far away from them or tell you that they cannot be counted on.  So we don’t know where they are finding their information.  However, the simple fact is that when you sign up for this “risk free trial”, within a few days, they start sending you expensive auto ship orders.

So how does it work?  Now it’s supposed to provide you with easier and lasting weight loss as well as fighting fatigue among other things by using acai.  The reality is that acai doesn’t do this.  There are pros and cons to acai.  But unfortunately, in this market, any product based solely around acai is guaranteed to not provide you with real or lasting results.  This being said, acai does provide various vitamins and minerals.  However, it does not actually provide you with any colon cleansing or weight loss components at all.

The only sites that will really talk about this site in any positive way are either paid off by them, created by them, or talking about all the supposed benefits of acai.  These sites are uninformed or misinformed to say the least, and they will not give you any real information.  The reality is that acai is not capable of the things they like to talk about.  But of course they aren’t going to admit that in a million years.  The only thing that will eventually make them go away is people not buying their product.

This being said, they don’t even bother giving you a full ingredients list.  There are a few very basic and surprisingly cheap ingredients that could ideally cleanse the body and otherwise give the results that Certified Acai talks about.  You will not find them here, because obviously if they had them, they would show off a potentially effective formula.

With all of this in mind, we would be far mistaken to ever recommend Certified Acai.  It does not promote weight loss, it does not promote results in general, and frankly speaking colon cleansing is the farthest thing from their potential abilities.  This being said, there are plenty of other valid and useful weight loss supplements and colon cleansers for that matter that do provide you with the results you are looking for.

There are plenty of other products out there that actually give you the results you are looking for, and they actually help you to lose weight in general.  They give you the ability to cleanse your colon and other vital organs, and we would highly suggest that you look into these products instead.  With those, you might actually get any benefits in general.

Low carbohydrate diets tend to contain disproportionate amounts of fat from animal sources.  Red meat has long been vilified as a major source of saturated fat that some experts believe cause hardening-of-the-arteries (atherosclerosis) via elevations in LDL cholesterol.  Others disagree.  Poultry, fish ,and shellfish generally have lower amounts of saturated fat than red meat.  Would a low-carb diet with a predominance of poultry, fish, and shellfish lead to a more advantageous cholesterol profile?

I reported recently that apple cider vinegar in a Japanese study population reduced body weight by 2.2 to 4.4 pounds (1—2 kg) over 12 weeks.  The dose was 15—30 ml daily, or 1—2 tbsp.  The researchers think the active ingredient is simply acetic acid.

On November 14, 2009, I started another self-experiment: I’m drinking 7.5 ml (1.5 tsp) Heinz apple cider vinegar twice daily, mixing it in 8—10 fl oz of water plus 1/2 packet (1.75 g) of  Truvia sweetener, with or without 1 heaping tsp of sugar-free Metamucil.  I’ll do this for 12 weeks.  If I weighed over 200 lb, I would have chosen the 30 ml/day vinegar dose.  But I’m only 155 lb.

Why Truvia?  We had some in the house, I don’t think I absorb its erythritol and rebiana, and it makes the vinegar much more palatable.

Why Metamucil?  You can figure that one out, Spanky.

A small-scale “experiment of one” like this isn’t worth much.  Too many variables can affect the outcome.  For instance, the holiday season is just around the corner.  Most Americans gain five pounds between Thanksgiving and New Years.  I’ve been no exception to that in the past.

I’m not totally committed to the experiment.  But I’ve gotta do something with that huge bottle of vinegar my wife bought.

Promising hardcore strength and extreme results, Xenadrine RZR-X claims that you will achieve rapid weight loss results, thermogenesis for metabolic amplification as they put it, increased energy and mental focus, and increased training intensity in the gym.  They claim that with the extreme Xenadrine name behind them, they literally cannot fail.

So how does it work?  Well, Xenadrine history is not exactly optimal.  While their products are well known as popular through amazing advertising, they are not high quality.  They aren’t known for causing any results while still causing side effects, which obviously does not work for many people.  Its ingredients in some cases can promote weight loss.  But with extremely small and insufficient proprietary blends and frankly quite a few mostly caffeine related side effects, it will not actually work.

Essentially speaking, it uses a few different complexes.  Its first complex is called “Oxiburn.”  Oxiburn includes yerba mate, guarana, caffeine, and damiana.  On the plus side, this combination of yerba mate, guarana, and damiana has the potential to promote weight loss as does caffeine.  Without the combination of before named 3 ingredients, you would not see any results.  However, with only a 1066mg proprietary blend, you can be ensured that it won’t have the required 400mg of caffeine alone or any proper amounts of other ingredients at all.

Their second blend is called myodrene RFA-X and it includes yohimbine, muira puama bark, and ginko leaf.  We never actually like to see the presence of yohimbine.  Yes, they have a small proprietary blend.  But it’s a scary thing when they use an ingredient that is meant to be a sexual stimulant for men, not a weight loss supplement, and they don’t warn against women using it.  Moreover, it is a scary thing when that same ingredient has been known to cause heart attacks, strokes, renal failure, and severe kidney damage.  This being said, it shows reckless disregard, and the other ingredients in this mix don’t promote weight loss.

Moving onto the third blend, you get CytoMelt which includes l-ornithine, saw palmetto, inositol, and l-lysine.  We have to stress the fact that realistically speaking, amino acids do not promote weight loss.  This being said, that automatically eliminates most of these ingredients.  Then there’s saw palmetto.  It’s a natural supplement we’re definitely familiar with, but not for weight loss.  We’ve seen it again in sexual stimulants for men!

And finally you get the Ampil FX blend which includes borage oil seed, GABA, alfalfa seed, and l-histidine.  We have to wonder if they really thought all of these ingredients were connected to weight loss or what?  I mean really, most companies just use common ingredients that nonetheless could promote weight loss.  But then they use small amounts.  This formula doesn’t even bother giving you that.

So in short, we would not recommend using this formula.  We are skeptical of Xenadrine products as a whole for a reason.  But we still gave this a fair review.  This being said, obviously it had the same results or rather lack thereof, and there is no reason to really recommend this particular product.  Luckily, there are plenty of other products out there with actual results, and you don’t have to suffer through many of the side effects connected to this.
