If you’re a mom, you know for sure how difficult teaching nutrition to children is. Letting them eat fruits and vegetables is already a big challenge but teaching them about nutrition is a totally different story. It will take a lot of patience, determination, and creativity in your part.

You can make your kids grow strong and healthy by letting them understand why they have to eat certain foods and why they need to avoid others. Teaching nutrition to children is the best way to get them started on eating balanced meals everyday. H

It’s that time of year again – no, not the holidays, but the time when everyone seems to come into your office armed with cookies and the office luncheon is filled with enough tryptophan and carbohydrates to choke a horse.

The other day, a study was released that showed that the highest number of heart-related deaths occur on Christmas, with the second highest number being recorded on December 26.

Especially this time of year when Old Man Winter is in full force, there’s nothing I love more than a bowl of soup as a meal. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch or even a snack, soup is filling (hello Volumetrics!) and you can pack so much nutrition into a single bowl. Not to mention that soup is pretty fool-proof one-pot dish to make, and usually keeps well as leftovers.

Every now and then I am reminded of how powerful an impact stress can have on our lives, and how all stress ultimately leads to the same effect.

What I mean by this is that whether your stress comes from over-exercising, worrying, working long hours, living in a busy city, too much light or too little sleep our bodies react the same way.
