Known for clean living, rather unlike his contemporary singers who rocked the 60s and the 70s, Sir Cliff Richards is now reaping the benefits of moderation and shunning of vices at nearly 70 years of age. Looking very fit and toned even at this age, he gives credit to his Blood Group Diet, which he has been practicing for years now.

The Blood Group diet is based on cutting certain foods out of a person’s diet, based on the blood group of the person. I

, Oct. 6 (HealthDay News) — Breastfed babies are much more likely to put on excess body fat if their mother’s diet is high in trans fats, finds a new study.

Everyone was shocked when the University of Pennsylvania football captain Owen Thomas took his life last April. An autopsy later revealed the young man’s brain showed the beginning of chronic trauma encephalopathy (CTE). Many believe that professional wrestler Chris Benoit, who took not only his life, but that of his wife and young son in 2007, also suffered from CTE. A neurosurgeon who examined his brain said the 40-year-old Benoit’s brain “was so severely damaged it resembled the brain of an 85-year-old Alzheimer’s patient.” So far, numerous NFL players have been posthumously diagnosed with CTE including Tom McHale, Andre Waters, Chris Henry, Mike Webster, Terry Long, and Justin Strzelczyk.

TUESDAY, Sept. 28 (HealthDay News) — Think recess, and you’ll probably smile. What wasn’t to like about a break in the school day set aside for running and playing, for friends and fun?

Now fast-forward to your adult life. What if your workplace started offering recess on the job?

Some medical experts think it’s not only a good idea but possibly one of the most solid tactics dreamed up for getting an increasingly out-of-shape America up and moving.

Adult recess would involve a 10-minute break in the workday, when employees would be led through a series of fun routines involving dance and sports-like moves.

The idea may be catching on.
