It was announced today that Walmart is recalling 91,872 pounds of their “Great Value” brand chicken nuggets, produced by Perdue Farms. They said the nuggets “could have been contaminated because a small blue plastic ring got into the raw material before the nuggets were formed,” according to CNN.com.

There are more than 50,000 affected packages of nuggets, and have a “best if used by date” of June 9, 2011. Numbers on

, July 14 (HealthDay News) — Community-based lifestyle programs help prevent weight gain and encourage physical activity in women with young children, a new study from Australia has found.

The randomized, controlled trial included 250 Australian women, with an average age of 40, who were divided into two groups. Those in the intervention group were assigned to a program called HeLP-her, which included four one-hour group sessions in which the women were taught about food intake, physical activity, behavioral strategies such as problem solving, relapse prevention, self-monitoring, and personal goals.

I’ve known Chad Waterbury for a few years now. I’d read his stuff online, saw his programs in Mens Fitness and Mens Health magazine but I didn’t meet him in person until 2006 – when he was looking for an apartment in Santa Monica.
